I am not sure how obvious it is, but the roller has been moved forward in the basic conveyor frame, yet this simple change has not carried through? I realise there are other additions into the space which I would need to tell the programe now exist and should be maintained. These changes should obviously carry through to the assembly where those size / positions are important / needed. The design intent is that as the concept evolves and is improved the information and detail of things like the conveyor placeholders will increase / change. Most of the objects are heavily stylised and are just to demonstrate the space is either occupied or available as a mounting surface. The 'surfaces' picture displays the conveyor and some structural surfaces in the assembly which is to be 'built' around those surfaces. The 'conveyor' picture displayes the reference assembly. The 'top' picture has objects in context. I have attached some general pictures for reference. You can use extruded assembly features to cut through other parts.I am having a bit of a top down modelling problem (I think that is how one would describe it). An intersection creates a solid from the shared volume of the two features and removes any material outside their shared boundaries. If added to other solid bodies, the extrusion can modify the specified bodies with a join, cut, or intersect operation. The first feature in a part file is the base feature. Sketch or select geometry for a new profile, select the participating bodies, and then repeat the extrusion operation, or select a different feature command. You can add features that refine the shape of one or more bodies. You cannot use open profiles to create extrusions as assembly features. A solid body can share features with other solid bodies. A new solid body creates an independent body which you can edit as a separate entity. Extruded features can create new bodies in a multi-body part file. You specify the direction, depth, taper angle, and termination method for the extrusion. When created in assemblies, they represent a specific manufacturing process, such as material removal. Extruded features are building blocks for creating and modifying solid bodies within a part.
